Response to Rick Ross

Recently Rick Ross has demonstrated the seemingly unfathomable reach of rape culture. In his featured verse Ross states “Put molly all in her champagne, she ain’t even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that, she ain’t even know it.” My students had just covered the Steubenville rape case in their Morality class so this seemed like a great opportunity to further address the issue at hand: Rape Culture. Following the lead of activist and organizer Rosa Clemente my students decided to respond to Rick Ross. The ideas expressed are entirely the students as well as the planning and execution of the video. I simply provided the cell phone camera.
